Francesca Pompe Enologiche has revolutionized the way of working in the cellar with the development of its first patent: Francesca® pump, which supports the innovative quality mechanics with dedicated electronics capable of making the work of oenologists and cellarmen practical, accurate and reliable.

Since 1997 the experience and passion handed down for generations, combined with the knowledge of the most advanced technologies, accompany the work of Eng. Roberto Manzini (founding partner and head of the R&D sector) in the research and design of innovative solutions to facilitate all wine transfer operations, from the first phase of pressing to bottling.

Thanks to a specific engineering job, Francesca Pompe Enologiche builds and tests machines capable of supporting the delicate stages of decanting, adapting to individual needs and always maintaining respect for wine as a primary objective: a quality product of our tradition.


In 2017 Francesca Pompe Enologiche expands the range of pumps produced, adding two other pumps exclusively dedicated to the world of wine, Caterina® and LoBó, to the Francesca® pump, the best product, to better meet the needs of the market. Three state-of-the-art pumps, with different characteristics, but responding to a single design philosophy: quality of the transfer, ease of use thanks to the numerous automations applied and guaranteed high performances.

  • Francesca ®: pump with a soft transfer, suitable for all types of work in the cellar and ideal for filling and emptying precision barrels. Francesca® is equipped with an exclusive movement of the rotor: the simple, essential, compact geometry of the Francesca® rotor ensures that the movement of the product inside the pump is linear and without turbulences. The rotation from 4 to 250 rpm assures a movement of the wine that is always delicate and in full respect of the culture it represents.
  • Caterina®: the second patent of Eng. Manzini, easy to use, efficient and economic pump. Ideal for all quality decanting inside the cellar, particularly recommended for use in isobaric. A pump with impellers with flexible vanes, but with a completely innovative and patented geometry, which allows it to have double performances at half the revolutions, ensuring a delicate movement of the wine always respecting the company philosophy.
  • LoBó: compact and handy version of the helical rubber lobe pump, ideal for all the most demanding transfers, where great prolonged force is required. A pump that is not afraid of anything and tireless.

Electronics expertly applied to mechanics has created three intelligent and practical pumps, whose characteristics are therefore quality, autonomy and ease of use. Handy, compact and easy to use pumps.

Simple to disassemble and inspect, they guarantee total accessibility to all parts in contact with the product which can therefore be easily washed and sterilized. Multifunction radio remote control, standard inverter on all pumps, pressure, temperature and dry running sensors, flow meter and more. The installation of the new 7″ touch screen control panel for the pumps, simple, intuitive, with appealing graphics, specially designed for work in the cellar, made possible to integrate all the functions already existing on the pumps and to add of new ones. The electronic of our machines allows automatic operations, with a significant reduction of time and optimization of work, increasing productivity.

The entry into the company at the end of 2019 by Eng. Caterina Manzini, Roberto’s daughter, renewed her passion and brought a breath of fresh and new energy to continue the path of technological innovation for the future.
